Today we finished this lovely Oak lounge unit for our customer in North London. We worked with the client to get the ideas for the design agreed and subsequently manufactured and installed it in their home.

For me, this has always been a satisfying element of my job. Being able to understand the clients requirements and come up with a design that we can see through from concept to completion. When I eventually retire(😬!) I will definitely miss it!

Six very long days for our team back at the Albert Hall, working with the engineering team on getting the fore stage lift and surrounding stage and floor levels stripped and rebuilt to upgrade the whole thing.
I love working at the Hall, but the week doing the work there while the Hall had their maintenance week shutdown, was gruelling!

Unusual staircase we built for a customer in North London. Birch ply and Chestnut. Also unusual because there’s no traditional stair string. The customer didn’t want anything below the tread and risers showing under the stairs. Gave us some head scratching!

A job we get now and then. Thought you might be interested in the process. This one is in a house in Kensington, London.

We are guided by the shape of the steel core rail that the handrail has to sit on. The straight lengths are pre machined. The turns are all hand carved on site.
