Had the privilege of tendering for some restoration work on this amazing building at Purfleet this week. Magazine number 5 which stored gunpowder for his majesty’s men of war ships many moons ago. Fascinating building which is so worth a visit. Gunpowder and shot for the nations navy. What a place. There were five of these buildings originally but alas four were knocked down previously.
Just an amazing place to visit in Essex.

That’s the next bedroom of our Barnston/ Dunmow project near on complete 👌🏻👌🏻 customers daughter back in her own room tonight.
We have carried out full window refurbishments of existing crittalls, new oak frames, window boards and new slimline double glazed units, walls fully stripped back, insulated, boarded and skimmed, major floor strengthening works as it was previously like a trampoline with a 65mm dip in the middle 🙈, full room painted with new door lining, door, skirting and architraves,

Today is a rather sad day for us here at Essex Oak as a few of us attended the funeral of our former colleague and friend Dom Bacon
Dom was a well liked and respected member of our team when he worked with us amongst both the team and also our clients. He continued to be a true inspiration while fighting this horrible cancer that eventually took his life 😔💔
Our sincere condolences go out to his wife Becky and his son Finley along with the rest of his family and friends. They truly did him proud with the funeral today and we’re sure he would be proud of the huge turnout for his final, not goodbye but a see you later ❤️
If any of our previous clients or former team members who knew Dom whilst working on their jobs would like to leave a comment below please do and they will be passed on to the family ❤️❤️
Although the sad circumstances it was also good to catch up with some of our former team members who also attended, and was also great to see the wake venue being Apton Hall one of our previous projects that Dom worked on with us.

Our Dunmow project is moving along nicely with the first of 3 bathrooms near on complete 👌🏻👌🏻 just cupboard doors and under sink unit to be made and fitted and it’s complete, and mirrors to be fitted. Our customers are now using their new bathroom as well as the adjoining dressing room and bedroom which have undergone major works with pics to follow 😉
