Spent a couple of days up in Scotland at the Scottish Lime Centre Trust, attending their C1 course on making and using traditional lime mortar.

A really in-depth, hands-on course and genuinely a privilege to be part of. Great to learn from an organisation so focused on conservation and doing things the right way when it comes to traditional building methods.

Also took some time to visit the nearby village of Culross, full of beautiful historic buildings, varied masonry finishes, and some great examples of traditional lime washes.

Pointed using Cotswold sand and St Astier NHL2, both supplied from Ty Mawr Lime.
