In the trades, we're trained to use tools.
Nobody teaches us how to run a business.
We're taught how to plaster, bricklay, fit kitchens, wire houses, and build extensions.
But nobody teaches us pricing, margins, cash flow, sales, marketing, systems, or how to actually make money.
That's why so many good tradesmen struggle.
It's not because they can't do the work.
It's because being good on the tools and being good in business are two completely different skills.
The day I stopped thinking like a tradesman and started thinking like an operator was the day everything changed.
Tradesmen are trained to use tools. Nobody trains them to become operators.
