π 15 Years of M&S β Part 4: Making Room to Grow
November 2011.
Just a few months after starting M&S Boxes, things were already moving faster than we could have imagined.
What had seemed like plenty of space when we first moved into the warehouse was quickly becoming a challenge as more work came through the doors. It was a good problem to have, but a problem nonetheless.
Rather than relocating so soon after getting established, we decided to make better use of the space we already had.
The solution was to have a mezzanine floor fabricated and installed within the warehouse. This allowed us to move our office upstairs, freeing up valuable floor space below for production, while also creating a much-needed storage area.
Looking back, it was one of the first clear signs that the business was growing.
Every improvement we made in those early days wasn't about comfort or convenienceβit was about creating capacity, working smarter, and making sure we could keep up with demand while continuing to provide the service our customers relied on.
From an empty warehouse just a few months earlier to already needing additional space, 2011 was proving to be an exciting year for M&S.
