Our new CEO Andy has had a busy three weeks meeting the teams in the UK, Germany and Sweden. It has been a whistlestop tour but has given him a chance to meet everyone from the leadership teams to staff on the manufacturing floor.
We caught up with Andy to get his view on Autins and the teams.
First impressions of Autins?
"The first thing that strikes you is the people who work at Autins. their passion for the business and willingness to listen to new ideas has been appreciated and sets us up well for the future. People are what makes a business and here Autins can take a lot of comfort. I was also struck by the engagement of the Swedish and German teams when I visited recently. It was very exciting hearing about new projects and developments they have in the pipeline."
What has been the biggest surprise?
"Some of the products we have in development have encouraged me. they have the potential to be real market setters in the Automotive industry and significantly improve our portfolio. there is still a way to go, but the signs are encouraging."
How do you see the future?
"As the Automotive industry comes out of its period of decline whilst dealing with unprecedented headwinds (COVID, Semi conductor supply and instability in Eastern Europe and the Middle East) Autins intends to grasp the developed opportunities creating sustainable profitable growth for years to come."
What is next?
"Continuing to get to know both our customers and the Autins team, working with our Swedish and German teams on their growth plans and ensuring we create the correct strategy to meet our future ambitions."
