Turtle Medical

Turtle Medical An innovative manufacturer of defibrillator cabinets, bleed control cabinets and bleed control kits and supplier of medical equipment.

Turtle Medical was founded in 2011. It is a family-run business that designs, engineers and manufactures indoor and outdoor defibrillator cabinets to bespoke specifications. In 2020 it created the UK’s first bleed control cabinet and in 2023 the first solar and wind powered defib and bleed control cabinet. The company also supplies approved medical equipment and has numerous partnerships with char

ities, such as the Daniel Baird Foundation. Customers include UK-wide Police, Fire and Ambulance Services and local and parish councils, as well as railway stations and stadiums like St Pancras and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux Stadium. Every element of a Turtle cabinet is manufactured in the UK and cabinets can be built to standard or bespoke specifications, meeting any branding or installation requirements and specifications linked to Listed Building status. Our defibrillator and bleed control cabinets are expertly engineered to keep the medical equipment secure and heat-regulated where required. All our cabinets are IP66 rated (fully waterproof and dustproof) and have the highest impact rating available (IK10); furthermore, we are the only company to hold this certification. Our cabinets can have remote monitoring systems added to them to allow custodians to check on the status of the cabinet at any time, giving them peace of mind about the status of the door, hook switch or temperature inside the cabinet. Registered company name: Turtle Engineering Ltd

Could this be our youngest bleed kit customer? 👏 Please give these girls a huge clap. 🍬🛒 Harper’s Candy Corner decided to raise money for a bleed control kit over the summer holidays and we love how our special custom print has turned out. The Daniel Baird Foundation was so proud of the girls’ efforts, they donated 2 more kits!

❣️ Bleed control kits are not just to help victims of knife crime. This person – who we hope is doing well – fell and had a severe head injury.

🩸 Anyone can fall and hit their head. Around 350 vehicle accidents happen in the UK every day. Almost 90,000 garden accidents requiring hospital treatment happen every year. Makes you think…

🚉 Cardiff station has 3 The Daniel Baird Foundation kits thanks to Melanie James -Heartbeat Trust UK's hard work – do you know if your local station has one?

OurJay Foundation is a special charity that we’re proud to partner with and we’re so grateful that Naomi is one of our biggest cheerleaders. 🙏 Thank you.

💨☀️ Our solar and wind powered public access defibrillator cabinet removes a barrier and we’re proud our innovation is part of Jamie’s incredible legacy which aims for similar tragedies to stop happening to families.

💙💚 Together with OurJay, we’re proving that even without mains electricity, life-saving equipment can still be installed where it’s needed most.

💚 We wanted to know if the HeartHero Elliot could really live up to its IP66 rating and its claim to be one of the lightest, most portable AEDs on the market - not on a spec sheet, but somewhere that would actually punish it 🥶

✈️🗻 So, Mike took the defibrillator – and his family – to Iceland, and you can read the story of that trip over on our blog. We also currently have this AED on sale.

We think the HeartHero Elliot is great for individuals or groups that go hiking, walking and cycling – where do you see this waterproof and lightweight defibrillator being a perfect fit?

⚡ We showed you the size of the HeartHero Elliot AED, now we’ll introduce you properly.

One of the newest defibrillators approved for use in the UK, the Elliot is all about making an emergency device as simple, lightweight and easy to use as possible. At just 671g, it’s fully automatic, has built-in CPR guidance, daily self-testing, Bluetooth connectivity and a simple child mode using the same pads.

🏡 Particularly well suited to home use, but it’s a great option wherever a lightweight, rescue-ready AED is needed. It even went on holiday to Iceland with our Mike… photos coming!

🌳 What’s the name of your local park where people would benefit from having a defibrillator? No power needed so it can be anywhere! ☀️💨 Great Ashby District Park in Stevenage is now the home to another one of our off-grid defibrillator cabinets thanks to Hearts for Herts Charity and their donors.

💚 This is the second solar and wind powered public AED cabinet that we’ve installed for this wonderful charity – you’ll find the other, which we installed almost two years ago, about 17 miles south-east of Great Ashby in Barclay Park, Hoddesden.

💚 The compact size of the HeartHero Elliot is just one amazing thing about this fully automatic defibrillator. 🐢 Another is that we have it on sale, down from £700 to £594+ VAT.

✅ Should we mention the phone app, the weight, the daily self-testing, the in-built child mode… watch out for our full demo with Mike coming soon, check out our website or contact us with your queries.

🗓️ We’ve been talking about expiry dates and replacement defibrillator batteries and pads but do bleed kit components also go out of date? 🩸

Yes, they do, and how do you check? Our Mike explains…

Making a note of this date is important when you first purchase one. One of the great things about registering your kit on Bleed Map is that you can record the expiry dates for each component and you’ll get an alert.

✅ If you didn’t make a note, if you purchased your kit before 2022, please check the expiry date on your haemostatic gauze, chest seal and trauma dressing.

However, it is standard practice for all first aid equipment to be replaced every five years, for example the gloves and tourniquet found in your bleed kit.
As always, if you have a query about your The Daniel Baird Foundation kit, please email or phone the office and we’ll be glad to help.

💨☀️ Please join us in giving ltd a huge thanks and congrats for installing two of our solar and wind powered defibrillator cabinets on their sites in Stourport Upon Severn.

🏗️🏘️ Construction team members are safeguarded while the new housing development is built and the whole community has peace of mind forever and a day... especially when out using the bridal paths where the off-grid AED cabinets are installed.

We also have to give a shout out to the two wonderful work experience students who came along to the installation and helped out for a week – we think they’ll go far with their can-do attitudes and Houlton School and their families should be very proud.
