Autumn winter 2023/24, large lean to. Tricky build due to drains, site access for materials, and special steels to obtain enough roof pitch for velux windows. Another wet autumn delayed the shell.

Progress on our extension in long buckby northants. Bricks have been quite challenging to lay being 3mm thicker than the house and basically curved face !. It was the best match for the house as the bricks no longer available.

Current job is nearing completion...had issues getting hold of roof tiles ( not currently being made) but managed to source. To minimise water entry i retained the roof and built round it..leaving ports in the new blockwork for the water to exit. Then fitted lintel for rear wall to be built up to full height. I decided to build in 2 courses of blockwork into house for full strength. New rafters used as old ones were retained. Felt and battened to enable insulation and boarding to carry on.
