It consists of a 10 storey, 256 room hall of residence and a new courtyard for outside art exhibitions space.
The principle contractor is Hollybrook Homes Ltd.

Well done lads, a professional and efficient job that I'm sure Tolent and FP McCann our respective employers can be proud of.

S4J are celebrating the success of the first installation of FP McCann's Stormstore. Neil Brown and his gang along with Lance Schofield our site engineer and Lee Kelly on the telehandler did an excellent job of offloading and installing units weighing up to 12 tonnes without a crane to form a 50m x 12.5m fire tank and seperate pump house for the stunning 42m high timber framed Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility in Leeds.
The facility is capable of generating 11 megawatts of electricity from 150,000 tonnes of black bin waste.
S4J were commended by Clugston Construction for their attitude to Health & Safety and we are pleased to have been made a preferred supplier for precast installation as a result.

S4J Ltd are working with their client Charcon Flooring Solutions on fall prevention methods to install Hollowcore flooring into a 6 storey insitu concrete column and beam frame with 2 storey Atria within. The Principle Contractor, a major contractor in Europe will not accept Airmat because of the fall floor to ceiling height of the Atria and the insitu concrete frame does not lend itself to safety netting.
Innovatiion is what sets us apart from our competition, we have the solution and we are working alongside our client to get this system and its associated method and risk assessment approved.

S4J Ltd are pleased to announce there first of many orders for the installation of a StormStore starting in April 2015. We are particularly pleased to have contributed to the design and development of this product with FP McCann, the UK's leading manufacturer of precast concrete drainage products.
StormStore is a sub-surface storm water storage system that allows discharge at a controlled rate and is an exciting collaboration for us.
All residential estates now need a storm water management system to prevent storm drain overloading and we are confident this uniquely maintainable system will succeed over competitive systems and form a large part of our workload going forward.

A busy year ahead for S4J Ltd.

We are particularly pleased to be partnering with FP McCann in delivering the construction of 325 post graduate bedrooms in a £26m scheme, part of the £1bn first phase of Cambridge University's North West Campus.

Designed on a house model by the university, the buildings will be surrounded by courtyards and gardens. We start on site in March 2016 with two gangs and two 100t crawler cranes and luffing jibs.

The post graduate accommodation will be completed for the start of Autumn 2016.
