Exciting times for Point Builders Ltd this week where we’re about to start a new project on Grafton Street in Mayfair.

The scaffolding is up! It’s time to get tuck pointing!

Inside St Paul's Bothy, a historic listed building, a concrete ceiling was added during the planning of the D-Day landings to protect the occupants.
As part of our restoration work, we had to remove this concrete ceiling to expose the rafters as it once would have been 🤩
X-marks the spot where a brick pillar held up the concrete ceiling, to mark that stage in the bothy's history.
It's awesome to play a role in preserving a snapshot of such a remarkable time in British history! 🙌

It’s not every day Point Builders gets to restore historic gun ports, especially not on the building where they planned the D-Day landings🤩👷🏻‍♂️🛠️
All work done with custom-made terracotta blocks to match the original historic materials👍

More progress on St Paul’s Bothy👏

There were missing and damaged terracotta blocks around the door and gun ports which had to be replaced… To maintain the historic integrity Point Builders replaced these with custom, made-to-order terracotta blocks so now it is as good as new… or as good as old’😉👷🏻‍♂️🛠️
