SHL have worked on projects in the USA, as well as the UK. In Tampa FL, USA an system was designed by us, which was installed by Restocon, Inc with C-Probe as its specialist sub-contractor and supplier. A low carbon geopolymer anode (+point) was installed within the bed joints between the stone units to protect the structural steel frame behind the ⚡️👨‍🔧

To effectively futureproof the building, the installed system is permanently powered, controlled and monitored using AchillesICP, which reports remotely to AiMS for ongoing management. A cost-effective and compliant method of restoring this historic building 🇺🇸✅

is a common defect in early 20th century buildings, with stone or terracotta cladding over a steelframe. Pre-1950, typical of urban buildings involved no gap between the steelframe and cladding materials. These façade materials are often porous, so over time and out of sight, water ingress caused the steel frames to corrode 💧🏙️
