Working on buildings with such character is always a treat. This property had a beam that was rotting away and needed replacing. We carefully sourced a new section of timber (which we named Spock) which came from the Kennet & Avon Canal to match the existing beams which worked out to be perfect. We applied a coat of Zinsser, Allcoat which contains a Mould Inhibitor To Protect Against Mould & Fungal Growth. Lasts Up To 15 Years! This new lick of paint will take a few months to wear in to perfectly match his wooden neighbours. Another satisfying job done... now beam me up Scotty!!

Here are some pictures of a very interesting restoration project we recently completed which also included a new lead roof lining. It is not everyday that we get to work on a 15th century oak balcony of such grandeur. We were up for the challenge of carefully and respectfully restoring this wonderful piece of architecture situated at Cross Keys, Salisbury, Wiltshire. We are close to finishing the required work scheduled to be complete in time for the latest exhibition 'Beyond Boundaries... a creative journey' which is a duel show by artists Colin Brown and Karen Welsh.
