Built to perform, not to pose.

This fully sheeted temporary roof scaffold at Ash Manor School, Ash, has been installed to keep works moving safely and efficiently—whatever the weather. With a tin roof system in place, the site is protected from rain, allowing construction to continue without interruption.

Not every scaffold is designed to look like a showpiece—and that’s the reality of a working construction site. This is about function, safety, and getting the job done right.

55 live sites and counting.

From commercial projects to complex, high-spec environments, we’re delivering access solutions that demand precision, planning, and full compliance. A large portion of our work sits under NDA—reflecting the level of trust our clients place in us.

Every project we take on is built around:
• TG20:21 compliant designs
• Engineered solutions where required
• Structured install programmes
• Ongoing inspections & site adaptations
• Safe, coordinated access for all trades

Behind the scenes, it’s all about strong planning, accurate estimating, and tight coordination between yard, office, and site teams to keep everything running smoothly.

If you’ve got upcoming works and need a reliable, technically sound scaffolding partner—drop us a message.

Enjoy the sunshine 👍

Recognise it? Lacock Abbey served as a primary filming location for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets.

We’ve been lucky enough to work with conservation experts onsite at Lacock Abbey to provide a scaffold access for masonry and roof works on this historical heritage building.

The project incorporated carefully planned load distribution, non-invasive tying methods where required, and full edge protection throughout.

Honouring the past. Building the future.

After 25 years with the business, Nick will be stepping away from Blencowe Scaffolding Limited

Great to be at the open day at HQ in Letchworth Garden City 🙌

Really impressed with the launch of their new app — fully integrated with Layher designs, making planning and ex*****on on site a lot more efficient. The ability to generate full load lists, break them down by materials, and even split loads between lifts is a serious step forward for day-to-day operations.

Tools like this are exactly what the industry needs to keep pushing standards higher and sites running smoother 💪

Following the introduction of the proposed “Working at Height 2026” framework, we have carried out initial trials of anti-gravity stabiliser units on scaffold structures exceeding 2 lifts.

The system has been designed to integrate with traditional tube and fitting, providing:
• Load reduction of up to 80% on handled materials
• Improved control during er****on of standards, ledgers, and transoms
• Enhanced positioning accuracy through guided placement technology

Early-stage installation has demonstrated significant potential in reducing manual handling exposure and increasing efficiency during both er****on and dismantling phases.

To support implementation, all operatives will undergo task-specific training covering:
• Safe installation and operation of stabiliser units
• Revised handling procedures in line with updated working at height guidance
• Integration with existing PPE requirements, including harness systems and magnetic-assisted footing

Further rollout will be reviewed following site feedback and performance monitoring.

Any queries, please raise with your site supervisor.

Happy April 1st… 😏

Tie replacement and birdcage strike completed at Eton College today.

Works carried out to TG20 guidance, with ties replaced sequentially to maintain load paths. Birdcage dismantled in reverse sequence, keeping stability and safety throughout.

All done with care due to the sensitive, historic environment.

Not all scaffolding is the same.

On our Mayfair temporary roof project, we combined:
🔹 Traditional tube & fitting
🔹 Layher system scaffold

Why?

Because the job demanded both:
⚙️ Precision around complex building details
⚡ Speed and efficiency on main structure

The result:
✔ Fast installation where it counts
✔ Flexibility where it matters
✔ A fully integrated temporary roof system

In high-end locations like Mayfair, there’s no room for compromise—every detail matters.

That’s where experience makes the difference.

Monday reminder.

We build what nobody notices —
until it isn’t there.

Scaffolding isn’t just steel and boards.
It’s load paths.
Tie patterns.
Access design.
Risk engineered in real time.

Temporary structures.
Permanent impact.

Every ledger levelled.
Every bay aligned.
Every handover earned.

We go up first.
We come down last.
And everything rises in between.

Different sites. Same standards.
Same pride. Same graft.

Built by crews who make complexity look easy.

New week. New structures. Let’s go!
