Bandemonium is back!

Tees Components Brass will be taking part in the second annual Bandemonium Brass Band Festival on Saturday 5 September 2026.

Along with a selection of North Yorkshire Brass bands, they will be performing at venues across the area throughout the day, before everyone comes together in Kirkbymoorside for the Bandamonium finale.

Accurate inspection is essential to ensuring components meet the required specification.

At Tees Components, inspection takes place throughout production and at final stage, verifying components against customer requirements before delivery.

Our portable inspection equipment includes FAROArm® systems, a FARO® 3D Laser Tracker and LLP Blue HD 3D scanning, supporting measure-to-CAD verification and detailed surface inspection.

Inspection is managed within our ISO 9001 quality system and overseen by our Quality Manager and full-time Inspector. Inspection results are recorded through detailed reports and annotated drawings, providing a clear, traceable record of inspection.

A huge congratulations to Lewis and Logan on passing their End Point Assessments! 🎉

Both joined us as Machine Shop Apprentices four years ago, and it’s fantastic to see them now complete their apprenticeships and achieve their qualifications.

Over the past four years, they have developed their knowledge and skills across the machine shop, gained valuable hands-on experience and grown in confidence as they have progressed through their apprenticeships.

We’re incredibly proud of the progress they have made during their time with us, and we’re delighted that they have both been offered permanent employment with Tees Components. We look forward to seeing them continue to develop as they move into the next stage of their careers.

A big thank you to Middlesbrough College for supporting Lewis and Logan throughout their apprenticeships.

Since opening in 1995, the Tees Barrage has been one of the River Tees’ defining engineering landmarks.

Tees Components machined the supporting steelwork used in its construction.

In 2007, the site was expanded with a tidal turbine testing facility, providing a controlled environment for the development and testing of emerging marine renewable energy technologies.

More than 30 years on, it remains a clear example of engineering that continues to shape the River Tees and the surrounding area.

From site visit to work experience

Last week, we were joined by Josh for work experience at our North Skelton site.

Josh previously visited Tees Components as part of the High Tides group in July. Following his visit, he developed a strong interest in the hands-on, practical side of engineering and was keen to gain further experience in a manufacturing environment.

During his placement, Josh spent time on the shop floor gaining an insight into CNC machining, while also exploring his interest in Health & Safety and finding out more about what a career in this area could involve.

It was great to build on Josh’s initial visit and give him the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of different aspects of engineering and manufacturing.

Thank you to Josh for joining us the week. It was a pleasure to have him as part of the team, and we wish him every success in his future studies and career.
