A new project getting underway is always a good way to start the month! ๐Ÿ™Œ

When a new project comes in, our engineering team works closely with customers to develop practical designs, considering everything from material selection and tooling through to a suitable manufacturing process for the finished component.

Your favourite duo is in action on our shop floor today.

Inside our TruBend Cell 5000, the TruBend 5230 and BendMaster are working together to keep production flowing and produce consistent bends with minimal operator input.

With the automation handling the repetitive work, our operators can keep a close eye on quality throughout the run, carrying out regular checks and picking up any issues early.

This means they can focus on quality while the cell keeps production moving, keeping quality at the centre of what we do. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

What can you expect when you come to us for sheet metal fabrication?

Every project starts with understanding the component, its specification and what you need to achieve.

From there, we consider material selection and the most appropriate manufacturing methods for the job, taking into account component requirements, production volumes, quality, budget and delivery timescales.

With components manufactured within our IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified quality management systems, thereโ€™s a controlled approach throughout, from initial review through to finished production!

We don't leave quality until the end... we build it into every stage of production.

Literally, because the FARO Arm goes wherever it's needed.

Before the rest of the batch moves through production, we're verifying this first-off component against the drawing to confirm every critical dimension is exactly where it should be.

Inspection continues throughout fabrication, with portable equipment like the FARO Arm helping us verify components at every stage and ensuring they meet specification before moving on. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Big project ๐™ค๐™ง tiny engineer?
We'll let you decide. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Jobs like this are exactly what our TruBend setup is designed for. With the TruBend 5230 and ToolMaster, we can process larger fabrications while maintaining accurate, repeatable bends from the first component to the last.

Working alongside the TruBend 230S, the two press brakes give us the capacity and flexibility to keep multiple jobs moving, including lights-out production where programmed work continues unattended.

When you're forming large fabrications, the right equipment makes all the difference.

Our Univers 6000 has been earning its keep over the past few days. ๐Ÿ‘

It's been machining critical faces and mounting features into a batch of large rail brackets, ensuring each component meets specification and remains consistent across the production run.

Having the Univers 6000 on the shop floor gives us the capacity to machine larger fabricated components in-house, reducing the need for external processing and keeping more of the manufacturing process under one roof.

This morning's job is keeping the Yaskawa happy and fed with another welding project.

This is just one of seven robotic welders in our workshop, each with two workstations, allowing one component to be set up while another is being welded and helping larger assemblies move through production.

With the ability to handle complex welds and hard to reach areas, it delivers consistent results across long production runs.

Bad fabrication slows production down - good fabrication keeps everything moving.

Keeping production moving is why we continue to invest in technology like the TruLaser 5030, supported by the TruDisk 8001 and TruDisk 10001, helping us stay at the forefront of metal fabrication.

Together, they allow us to match laser power to the job, running efficiently on lighter work and stepping up when material demands it, keeping production consistent and reducing delays.

That means our shop floor sees quicker turnaround, reliable quality and the capacity to take on complex, high-volume work. ๐Ÿ™Œ

A helping hand (or arm) makes a difference in the workshop.

Quality sits at the centre of what we do, and is reflected in the tools used on the shop floor, including the FaroArm coordinate measuring machine.

Being portable, it can be taken to parts for quick checks against CAD models, with immediate feedback on any features drifting out of tolerance, allowing adjustments to be made without delay and giving customers confidence in their orders.

Helping keep quality central in everything we do! ๐Ÿค
