May I have your attention please.

On Saturday 30th May, I’ll be taking on one of the UK’s toughest mountain challenges to raise money for Tartan Talkers.

This isn’t your average hike up Ben Nevis.

We’ll be camping overnight, setting off at 4:30am, and climbing via Carn Mòr Dearg — tackling the exposed Arête ridge just after sunrise. A grade 1 scramble. Narrow, demanding, and not for the faint-hearted.

In total:
17.5km (11 miles)
~1500m of ascent
9–12 hours on the mountain

This is Ben Nevis—with an edge.

I’m doing this to support Tartan Talkers, a Scottish men’s mental health and su***de prevention charity based in Fife.

They provide:

• A peer-to-peer buddy system
• Telephone and psychological support
• A dedicated hub in Dunfermline for men in crisis

In the UK, su***de is the biggest killer of men under 54.
