Top tip - getting grout right down into the joins is key, especially with thicker tiles like these. If you don’t it’ll be more likely to sink or crack

Mapping out tiles is a vital part of the process when it comes to getting things accurate, especially with the raised shower tray presenting an obstacle, it still needs to line up. We find the best starting point to avoid slivers and little fillets of tile. Then it’s laying the full tiles with adhesive, making any cuts and dry laying all the cuts to make sure it’s spot on. I’m a carpenter by trade but I do enjoy tiling!

Dry laying tiles makes it so much easier when it comes to the final stage. Once everything is cut and dry laid, it’s as simple as adding adhesive. No need to stick a tile down just to realise it’s not quite cut right and have to clean it up again!

Mapping out is very important! It’ll usually takes two or three goes to find the right starting point but it’s by far the best way to end up with no little fillets of tile anywhere. Better to spend a few hours getting it bang on than being able to see you’ve rushed it forever! Using a laser is the easiest way to get the pattern to line up in the shower tray. Lastly, do a small area with cuts as well, this gives us our starting point for laying with adhesive

Usually when tiling a shower tray, you have to cut tiles diagonally from the corner of the drainage point to the corner of the tray. Unless, like in this case you are doing a herringbone pattern and get the layout spot on. Getting a seamless finish while water still runs straight into the drain

Last one that was finished up before the Christmas break in High Wych, Essex. Adding some pine moulding and fresh paint job to create a very traditional panelling effect in the dining room. A very cost efficient way of adding some serious class to any space

Before and after shots of a recently completed utility room in Chingford. This one has something a bit different, my first (and hopefully not last) dog shower to build. Had a great time working it out and getting it just right! Top finish and happy customers! Give us a shout if you’re looking for a solution to your muddy, post walk furry friends!

A missed brief led to incorrect doors on this beautiful . We were contacted and asked if I would step in to create the customers original vision. Once again, all parties were delighted with the finish. Made from oak, these are traditionally manufactured shaker doors. Had loads of fun creating them without the help of a CNC machine
