Employment Support and Training We offer bespoke employment support and training opportunities to people all across Tees Valley and North Yorkshire.

At Beyond Housing, we have a dedicated Tees Valley and Scarborough Employment team to help customers reach their goals within education, training or employment. We adopt a bespoke person-centred approach which adapts for each individual's specific needs whether that is for short or long term goals. We offer friendly mentoring alongside information, advice and guidance to enhance skills and experie

nce. Our services help to break down employment or training barriers through providing services such as; one to one support, training & educational opportunities, support with interviews and job applications , and offering well being and confidence building support. 🌟CUSTOMER GOOD NEWS STORY! 🌟

Steven has been working with us since January, when he was referred by Whitby Job Centre Plus. He is 18 years old and had never had any kind of paid employment before. Whilst we worked with Steven on the basics - CV, preparation for interview etc - we were also building a relationship with a Whitby based employer who told us they were looking to recruit in the lead up to summer. We were able to arrange an interview for Steven, we made sure he was ready & crossed our fingers for him. 🤞

Steven started work on Bank Holiday Monday & is settling in well - we'll stay in touch over the next few months and follow his progress! 😁

Researchers from Teesside University, working with Tees Valley Combined Authority, are exploring the transport challenges people face across Tees Valley.

We want to hear from people who struggle to access jobs, education or training because of transport issues. This includes anyone facing disability related challenges with travel 💬

🎯 The aim is to understand these barriers and find solutions so more people can travel reliably and access opportunities. This could include:
💸 Cost
🌍 Rural accessibility
🚗 Car access
🚌 Public transport quality and safety
📝 Take part in our short online survey
Open to people aged 16 to 68 living in the borough
🎁 If you are in work, looking for work, or in education or training, you could win one of three £100 vouchers!
