✨ Lighting Transformation + Electrical Upgrade by the OS Electrical Team - .stabler 💪🏼

💡 The guys have just completed this recent domestic project featuring bespoke warm white LED feature lighting to create a clean, modern finish throughout the hallway and living space.

⚡ Alongside the aesthetic upgrade, we also carried out a full consumer unit upgrade to bring the installation up to current standards with modern RCBO protection for improved electrical safety.

⚡️ Commercial Upgrade Completed ⚡️

Another great project wrapped up for Monarch Hotel, Bridlington 🏨

🔧 Scope of works included:

• Consumer unit upgrade with Surge & RCBO protection due to the old board not meeting current regulations

• New 16A supply installed in white PVC conduit with metal saddles to meet fire regulations for the new cellar cooler upgrade

• Local rotary isolator fitted ready for the refrigeration connection - not done by us this time 😢

Big shout-out to our 1st year Apprentice 👏 who took the lead on the cellar cooler installation and delivered a clean, professional job from start to finish, with some fancy offsets to show off with — exactly the standard we’re building at OS Electrical ⚡️

All work installed, tested & certified with in line with BS 7671 and current regulations ✅

We love working on commercial environments like this — more to come at Monarch Hotel 👀

⚡Transformation completed by The OS Electrical Team ⚡

This summer room had everything going for it… except the ability to stay warm in winter.

After exhausting other heating options, the customer asked us to come up with a solution — so we designed and installed a Heat Mat electric underfloor heating system with a smart digital thermostat 🌡️📱

The result?

🔥 A warm, comfortable space

📱 Smart control from anywhere in the world, which the customers needed ✅

🏠 A room that can now be used all year round

What makes this one extra special for us is that this is a returning customer - last year we installed the power and lighting in galvanised steel conduit, so it was great to be asked back to provide the heating solution too 👷⚡

Safe to say the feedback so far has been fantastic — the space now stays consistently warm and usable all year round 👍

⚡ Robin Hood’s Bay Re Wire Update ⚡

This 1800’s cottage is currently undergoing a full makeover!

As we expected with properties of this age we’ve had:

• Rotten joists 🪵
• Thick stone walls 🪨
• Tricky cable routes 🚧
• Years of previous alterations⚒️

However it's not a problem for Jonny and Liam 🫡 they have made a cracking start on 1st and partial 2nd fix, carefully routing new cabling throughout the property. Ready to bring the installation up to modern standards whilst preserving it's wonderful character 🏠

Always a challenge working in buildings with this much history — but that’s what makes these projects so grateful to be a part of 🙏🏼

🔌 Full Rewire – 1800’s Cottage | Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby

Only certain jobs start with a view like this 🌅

We’re kicking off a full electrical rewire in this beautiful 1800’s cottage tucked away in the heart of Robin Hood’s Bay — a property full of history, character, and the kind of challenges you only find in period buildings.

The old wiring has now been fully stripped out, locations marked up and .stabler and have made a strong start on 1st fix towards the end of last week, working consciously around original timber joists and tricky cable routes.

On projects like this, the goal is simple: modern, safe electrics installed with respect for the building’s history. We are looking forward to getting stuck in and moving this one forward to the next stage for our client in the coming weeks.
