We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Road Sweeper Driver to join our team. You will operate municipal mechanical sweepers to keep local roads, construction sites, and public spaces clean. This role requires precision, strong safety awareness, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Operate road sweeping vehicles safely on public highways and commercial sites.
Perform daily vehicle checks including oil, water, tyres, and sweeping gear.
Report any mechanical faults or safety hazards immediately to the transport manager.
Navigate tight streets and busy construction areas with high spatial awareness.
Keep accurate digital logs of hours, mileage, and tipping locations.
Wash down and clean the vehicle inside and out at the end of each shift.
🛠 Requirements
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) LGV licence.
Valid Driver CPC card.
Valid Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on your licence (for insurance purposes).
Previous road sweeper experience is highly preferred (Johnston / Scarab models).
Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional night shifts or weekends.
