G S Kelsey Construction Ltd Building contractors based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and serving the whole of Lincolnshire, Today, G.S.

The Kelsey's have been builders in North Lincolnshire for over 100 years. Arthur Benjamin Kelsey, established a contracting Company in Crowle, North Lincolnshire at the turn of the last Century, working mainly for the District Councils, the Railway and local farmers. Arthur Snowden Kelsey succeeded his father and continued the business until retirement in 1982

After working as a quantity surveyor

for several years, his son Geoffrey Snowden Kelsey established the current Company in 1996 with the intention of providing Local Authorities within the immediate vicinity of Scunthorpe with a small, professional contractor. Kelsey Construction Ltd has grown to become a small to medium sized Company with an annual turnover of £8M operating throughout Humberside, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. Prior to 2003 the majority of the Company's turnover was with Local Government and in particular North Lincolnshire and North East Councils with whom it has built a long-term, professional working relationship. Contracts have been awarded by selective tendering, partnering and occasionally by negotiation. Since 2003 Kelsey's has widened its area of operation and client base to include Housing Associations, the Health & Care Industry, Motor Vehicle Dealerships and Ecclesiastical work with contracts ranging in value between £100K to £2.5M. The Company operates from a base on Brigg Road, Scunthorpe and has a well-balanced staff, which is capable of providing management and resources for contracts up the the value of £4M.
