Day 3 in Whiston, and the graft continues 💪🔥

This porcelain installation is really coming together now, but there’s plenty of work behind that clean finished look.

From the main patio to the narrower side access, every area gets exactly the same attention to detail:

✔ Full mortar beds throughout
✔ Porcelain carefully positioned and tapped into place
✔ Precision cuts around walls and features
✔ Raised areas meticulously tiled
✔ Falls continually checked with the spirit level
✔ Levelling clips keeping everything consistent

And yes, the lads were definitely feeling it by this point 😂🥵

It’s easy to focus on the finished patio, but this is the work that goes into making sure it looks right, drains correctly and is properly installed throughout.

Just look at those final shots... Whiston is taking shape nicely 👌

Day 2 in Whiston 👀👌

The porcelain patio is really starting to take shape, and this one gives you a proper look at the process behind getting that clean finish.

✔ Solid mortar bed prepared and levelled
✔ Slurry primer applied to every porcelain slab
✔ Each slab carefully positioned
✔ Levelling clips keeping everything consistent
✔ Levels continually checked throughout
✔ Another big section of the L-shaped patio completed

It’s the preparation underneath and the attention to every individual slab that makes the difference on a porcelain installation.

Plenty of graft, a bit of messing around from the lads 😂 and some serious progress made.

That final wide shot shows just how much ground we’ve covered already.

Day 2 in Firth Park, and this one is all about the finishing details 👌🔥

After the progress from Day 1, the resin work continues as we bring the different areas of this transformation together.

Using premium materials, the process has to stay consistent from the first mix to the final trowel:

✔ Two-part resin carefully paddle-mixed
✔ Daltex aggregate through the forced action mixer
✔ Fresh resin laid and compacted by hand
✔ Step edges finished using a straight edge
✔ Corners meticulously hand-trowelled
✔ Clean, seamless finish throughout

It’s those tighter areas, steps and corners where the attention to detail really shows.

And that final sweep down the side of the property... 😮‍💨👌

Resin Day in Firth Park 🔥

This one gives you a proper look at the full process, from the first mix right through to the finished surface.

Using premium materials, everything has to be mixed, laid and finished correctly to achieve that seamless resin bound finish.

✔ Two-part resin carefully paddle-mixed
✔ Aggregate mixed in the forced action mixer
✔ Fresh material barrowed straight to the laying team
✔ Resin raked out consistently across the tarmac base
✔ Surface meticulously hand-trowelled
✔ Sleeper steps individually finished by hand

Those steps are a great example of the detail involved. Resin isn't limited to large, flat areas, and getting a clean finish around bespoke features takes real precision 👌

From prepping each slab to making those awkward cuts against the existing stonework, this video gives you a proper look at the process:

Doncaster project update 👀

This is the part that disappears completely once the job is finished, but it’s absolutely crucial.

We’re now onto the concrete footings, creating the solid base that the next stages of the build will rely on.

✔ Timber shuttering cut and secured
✔ Footing levels set accurately
✔ Concrete poured into position
✔ Tamped down to remove air pockets
✔ Finished level and ready for the structure above

It might not be the glamorous bit, but this is what proper landscaping looks like behind the scenes.

Strong foundations first. Everything else follows from there. 💪
