It's been extremely Busy over the last couple of Days with Breakdowns as well as continuing our Install at Whitley Hall Hotel.
We have removed 2 x 260kw Powrmatic Gas Fired Warm Air Heaters at a Commercial Unit in Leeds, Servicing a Boiler in Chesterfield. Carrying on the Install at Whitley Hall Hotel. Then Last night fitting parts on the 3 out of 4 A O Smith Cyclone Gas Fired Water Heaters. All 3 needs HSI's 1 needed a Detection Electrode and the Last needed a New PCB Control Board.
Today we started at Wincobank School fitting a Combustion Fan on an Commercial ARAG Boiler that had failed last week. Then onto Servicing a Navien Boiler we fitted 4 years ago. Then to SOAR Works to get there Heating back on after the Site didn't have any. We found that the Pressurisation Unit had blown the Fuse. So we replaced this and Tested it. Which got it working. So then we Serviced the Hamworthy Wessex Modumax 160. Then back to Whitley Hall Hotel.
Lastly to a Callout to a Worcester Bosch Greenstar Junior Boiler that had an Ignition Lockout Fault. Once we stripped it down. We found that the Seal & Electrodes were in very poor Condition. So we will pick these up and fit them tomorrow.

And so the Winter Season Starts!
It's been manic with Callouts today.
Firstly we started at a Childs Carehome in Woodhouse, Dronfield sorting an Intermittent Hot Water Issue out on an Ideal Logic Boiler. Which we need to order a New Flow Turbine for.
Then we had an Urgent Callout for Wincobank School in Sheffield where the ATAG Commercial Heating Boiler had stopped working the Nursery. After investigating we found that the Fan had failed on the Boiler and we will Quote to replace it.
While there we was asked to look at the new Installation of 2 x 100kw Remeha Boilers & a Mitsubishi Electric Air Source Heatpump. As it wasn't warming the building up. It turned out to be a Control Issue. The Weather Compensation & Indoor Temperatures hadn't been setup Correctly. But we couldn't access the BMS to change these. So they are getting the BMS Company out.
Then we had another Callout to no Heating at Longley College in Sheffield. We found that the 3 Port Valve Actuator had got stuck closed. So we freed it off. Greased it up and got it back operating again.
Then another Callout to Amazone in Doncaster where their LPG Vaillant Boiler had sprung a Leak. We sorted that and got it back working.
Lastly back to Sheffield to a Student Accomodation that was reported as Water coming out of the Top of the Boiler. But it turned out to be the Pressure Gauge that had failed. So we need to Quote to replace this.

It's been a Manic Couple of Days. The Callouts are coming in thick and fast now the Weather is turning.
Over last couple of Days we have Installed 2 x Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 10kw Split Systems. For a New Carehome opening in November in Leeds. This will be to keep the Residents Warm in the Winter & Cool in the Summer while they are relaxing in the Sitting Room.
We got a Callout to Worksop Golf Course as they had no Gas to one of their Range Cookers. Today we went back and Installed a New Gas Catering Hose as the Detachment wasn't letting Gas pass through. It was causing a restriction. So we got them back to working 100%.
Then we had to go to Manchester to Disconnect a Connection onto a U16 Gas Meter. Ready for the Meter to be Removed by the Supplier. Where we will be Quoting them some Renewables.
We had another Callout to a Childrens Home 5 minutes down the Road too. Where their old 84kw SIME Floor standing Open Flue Boiler had stopped working. So we attended and replaced the Thermocouple. Carried out Some general Checks while there.
Then we had a Callout back to Sheffield to a Student Accomodation. To look at some Leaking Pipework. The Pipework had failed on a Pressfit Elbow and was spraying upwards on the 35mm Connection. We didn't have any Pipe or fittings on the Van at that time of night. Sonwe did a temporary Repair. Till either we or the FM Company can get back to it.
Lastly back to Worksop to another Childs Carehome for a Report of no Hot Water in a newly refurbished Building. When we got there. We checked the Boiler. That looked OK. Tested the Heating and that came on. Then we tested several Taps. All were running Cold on the Hot Tap. We checked the Cold Taps and these were all Running Hot. Very Poor from the Installers. So we went round the Building switching the Flexible Tap Connectors around. So they were the Right way round.

Forgot to Post yesterday.
it was another Busy one.
Going to a Large Site to Quote a Large VRF System to replace. With really long Pipe Runs. If we get this. It will be a fun Project to work on.
Then a Callout to Headingley Leeds to a Student Accomodation. Where there AO Smith Boiler wasn't operating. They'd had another Company out twice to sort it. But Couldn't. So we Investigated it. We found from the bottom of the Flue. It was Completeley blocked with Twigs and Shubbery build up. So we cleaned it out. Cleaned the Full Condensate. Then got it back working for them.
Lastly back to our Install from Last week to change a Faulty Existing 2 Port Valve.

It's been a really busy one today. We started over in Pen*stone Servicing an Alpha Etec 28 Combi Boiler we fitted for a Domestic Customer 4 years ago. The Boilers still running like new.
Then we recieved a Call about an Ideal H18 with No Power. In Sheffield. So we attended this. After some Faultfinding. We found some Cable had dislodged out of the Frost Thermostat. So we rewired this and got the Boiler back Operating. Then we attended Yewlands Academy due to the CT Pumps not operating for the Building. Where we found that the Pressure Switch Tube had become loose and needed Cutting down slightly and re-installing. Which got them working again. So the Site had some Hot Water.
Lastly we got Called out to a Carehome in Harrogate again. Where we carried out a full Strip Service to their 2 x Potterton Derwent Boilers. Installing a New Failed Thermostatic Mixing Valve that had failed only achieving 30 degrees. When they have to operate between 38 to 42 degrees. We changed 2 x Failed Lever Taps that were not operating. Which was another Legionella Risk. Lastly a Toilet Float Valve that wasn't turning off.

Its been really busy but nice to be at the smar Site the Whole day. Today we was at Amazone in Doncaster carrying out their Servicing onna Boiler, Gas Fired Warm Air Heater, 6 Reznor Radient Tube Heaters on 2 LPG Bulk Tanks and the Air-conditioning.
All was ok. We have looked after and Maintained these Systems for the Last 4 Years. So the fact they never have any Breakdowns, Speak for themselves.

Another busy day for us today.
A Furniture Shop we went too afew weeks ago with a Gas Leak on a 3inch Screwed Gas Pipe was on an Elbow in some boxing. So we gave them 2 options to disconnect and then remake all the Pipework back together again. Or Run a new Supply in Pressfit Stainless.
Unfortunately they didn't have the Costings for this. So they had the Boxing removed then we came in Removed 20 meters of 3inch Screwed Steel Pipe. Re-made all the Joints and reconnected it back up. Then carried out a Tightness Test. Although 3 inch Screwed Steel isn't allowed anymore on Gas. This has been in since the 1970s. So we carried out a Risk Assesment before carrying out the works.
Then we went over to a Carehome in Leeds that we found had No Gas Interlock in the Kitchen afew weeks ago. So we installed a New Gas Interlock Panel. Fitted a Supply and Extract Pressure Switch. An Emergency Gas Push Button and Co2 Sensor. Their Kitchen is now Compliant and they can Cook knowing they are working in a Safe Environment.

Its been a very Long weekend!
Called out Friday Early morning to the MOD where we fitted the Chiller a couple of weeks ago. As it wasn't working. When we arrived. We found the BMS Cables had not been wired in. Which the Controls people forgot. So once we found where they went on the Drawing. We wired these in and got it working. Then to Whitley Hall Hotel to fit a new Gas Valve on the old Ideal Concorde CX. After Isolating the Boiler to change. When we turned it back on. There must have been a lazy Resistor or Contactor on the PCB Board because the Thermostat no longer works. So just for the weekend one of us have been operating the Boiler with a Temperature Stat. Then Isolating it.
We then had Issues at a Carehome in Bristol where they have 2 x 200kw Riello ASHPs fitted. Which we are the Service Agents for Riello/Vokera by Riello & Carrier. But they hav'nt been working properly. So on Sunday we had to make alterations to the way the Boilers & Heatpumps are called for, Rewiring and Making Pipework aterations on the Buffer Cylinder. Then today replacing some Components on the Heatpumps themselves and setting the 2 x Heatpumps to work as a Master & Slave System. Which was very Complex

We was back over in Stockport today carrying out more Pressure Relief Valve Testing and Certificating on a High School. We had 7 to do altogether. We did the 2 x 300kw Buderus Boilers. 2 x Worcester GB162 65kw Boilers and 4 x Lochinvar Gas Fired Water Heaters. Everything went well with the Boiler PRVs. 1 x on the Gas Fired Water Heaters passed. 2 x of them the Valves were passing so we couldn't remove the Pressure Relief Valves to Test them. We couldn't drain the System down either as the School was open and needed the Hot Water. So we will do these in the 6 weeks Holidays. Lastly, The last Gas Fired Water Heater Failed. It should have discharged at 7 bar and discharged at 3 bar. Then wouldn't seal. So we have had to isolate the Hot Water Cylinder. We will Quote to replace it.

We was back over in Staffordshire today at the Ministry of Defence Site. We had a Crane arranged to lift the old Chiller out that we had previously removed the R410a Refrigerant from and Disconnected. Then Dispose of Safely.
Then a new Carrier 302kw Chiller Installed in its Place. With the 3 Phase Wiring Completed. Theres just the Chilled Water Pipework and Refrigerant to do. Then the Commissioning.
