We want to share some difficult news with our community.

After a full consultation process, Jenx Ltd has made the difficult decision to close our manufacturing operations. Sadly, this means 47 valued members of our team will be made redundant. We are working closely with our affected team members to make sure they are fully supported during this transition.

As our Managing Director, Holly Jenkins, said:

“Reaching this decision has been extremely difficult and marks the end of a proud chapter in Jenx Ltd’s history. I want to sincerely thank every member of our manufacturing team both past and present for their contribution, expertise and dedication over the years. While this outcome is deeply sad, it is necessary to secure the future of our organisation and ensure we can continue delivering life-changing products and services to children and families.”

What won’t change is our commitment to the many thousands of children, families, carers and professionals who rely on Jenx products every day. All existing Jenx products will continue to be supported throughout their lifespan.

Moving forward, our UK distribution division Jiraffe will remain fully operational and continue to grow. Working in partnership with Rifton, Jiraffe will keep providing innovative products and the caring support that children, families, carers, therapists and funding bodies depend on.

It’s with deep sadness that we share Jenx Ltd. has entered a formal consultation process on a proposal to close our manufacturing operations.

This is a difficult step, driven by ongoing financial pressures affecting UK manufacturing. Despite significant efforts, we have not found a viable future for in-house production.

If the proposal goes ahead, around 65 roles may be impacted. We’re committed to supporting all affected colleagues with care and transparency throughout the process.

The heart of Jenx Ltd has always been improving the lives of children with complex disabilities, and that mission isn’t changing. Our UK distribution arm, Jiraffe, will continue operating, supplying high-quality specialist products to families, therapists, and healthcare providers across the UK.

We’re proud of everything our manufacturing team has created and grateful to everyone who’s supported Jenx over the years. Thank you.

Friday feel-good story | Zain 💛

We’d like to introduce you to 11-year-old Zain and his mum, Farzana, who we’ve been working with since Zain was a little boy.

Historically, our Supine Stander had provided 11-year-old Zain with all of the support he needed to play and interact with everybody around him from a standing position.

Zain is affected by entire body weakness, which means he struggles to stand without significant help.

This means standing, which most of us tend to take for granted, really tires him out.

Fortunately, for Zain, he is now using our Supine Stander 3, which has transformed his life.

You see, Zain had never been able to give his mum, Farzana, a standing hug before having the Supine Stander 3.

💛 Now, it’s just one of the many things he can do every day…

Strengthening Global Partnerships Through Shared Learning 💡

This week, we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with our valued distribution partners, Rehab Medical, at an educational event in Almaty, Kazakhstan, hosted in partnership with Центр САТР.

Centre Satr is dedicated to promoting legal, social, and educational support for children and adolescents with developmental disorders across Kazakhstan.

Attendees explored clinical reasoning and real-life application through in-depth training sessions, interactive equipment demonstrations, and live patient assessments.

Our Clinical Partnerships Manager, Kieran Murphy, delivered three expert-led presentations exploring the importance of movement and 24-hour postural care for children and adults with neurodisabilities.
