MECHANIC WANTED

Chris Wright Road Planing Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Mechanic to join our growing team at our yard in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

The Role:

Maintenance, servicing, and repair of road planing machines, HGVs, plant, and support equipment.

Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.

Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Attending breakdowns when required.

Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a mechanic working on heavy plant, HGVs, or construction equipment.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence preferred.

Flexible and proactive approach to work.

What We Offer:

Salary of £40,000–£44,000 per year (before overtime) depending on experience.

Standard working hours of 7:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Our team has been out across Lancashire delivering precision planing works on a high-profile highways scheme using the dependable Wirtgen W120 Fi.

Working through the night to minimise disruption and keep the network moving, the W120Fi continues to prove its value with efficient production, clean finishes, and reliable performance shift after shift.

A great effort from everyone involved, and a big thank you to our valued customer for their continued trust and partnership on this important project.
