RVI Ltd has applied to extend its approved capabilities to include the PW1500 and PW1900 engine series.

The application has been accepted by the CAA, and we are now in possession of the new certificate. The approval process provides formal regulatory recognition of RVI’s capability to undertake borescope inspections on these engine types.

This regulatory approval reflects RVI’s commitment to maintaining robust compliance and providing customers with trusted, properly authorised inspection capability.

UK to Prestwick, Scotland ✈️

RVI Ltd recently completed a full inspection of a PW1100 engine at workshop facilities in Prestwick, Scotland, where the engine had been removed from the aircraft for repair and overhaul.

With increasing demand for PW1100 inspections, our team continues to support operators and maintenance facilities across the UK and internationally.

A PW4056 engine on a B747-400 underwent a detailed on-wing borescope inspection, revealing extensive surge-related damage.

Severe defects were present in the HP compressor, with secondary damage to the LP compressor, combustion chamber, and turbine stages.

Inspection results exceeded allowable on-wing limits, emphasing the importance of advanced RVI techniques and careful preparation in evaluating high-damage scenarios.
