RIP old girl 😥
With us (jones seniors) having a couple of days away at the coast it was up to the youngsters to deal with this episode!
Izzy got wind something was wrong at about 5.40am and discovered black smoke billowing out of one of the sheds, she raised the alarm, got the fire brigade called and the yard unlocked.The cab was already totalled at this point and despite all the fire extinguishers on the place being deployed, there was no stopping it. Rhys got a chain on the front axle and got the old girl dragged out on the yard with the Deere, saving the shed (a few purlins and roof sheets should put that right hopefully)
Our involvement (from 100 miles away)was restricted to calling some good friends and neighbours to go and see if any help was needed, big thankyou to them and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.
A sad end for the only new tractor to have come here but at the end of the day it’s only metal, no one was hurt that’s the main thing.
