A Christmas Day installation, unlocking new development and an architectural flagship.
While a lot of our work involves heavy-duty vehicle crossings, this project in Little Chalfont focused on a different kind of connectivity: linking a new residential development with the wider community.
🔹 The Challenge:
The Hill Group required a critical link to encourage active travel for the residents and community of their new development in Buckinghamshire.
The site posed significant logistical constraints, requiring a bridge that could be installed safely and efficiently without disrupting the surrounding landscape or the progress of the broader construction site.
🔹 The Solution:
Beaver Bridges delivered a full turnkey solution, designing and fabricating a bespoke steel active travel bridge.
Our team managed every aspect of the project, from technical engineering to specialised transport and lifting, ensuring the structure was installed with surgical precision during a pre-planned window to maintain the developer's timeline.
🔹 The Results:
The project delivered a sleek, 43m x 4m Weathering Steel Warren Truss bridge that provides a safe and sustainable route for the local community.
With this project, we enhanced the development’s connectivity while supporting the shift toward greener, active travel infrastructure.
We’re proud to have delivered this vital community crossing, yet another example of Beaver Bridges working above and beyond.
