EXPERIENCED GROUNDWORKERS REQUIRED.

We are looking for groundworkers to join us for an immediate start.

Experience in drainage and concreting is preferred.

Please note, we are not looking for an excavator driver, although experience with driving a dumper and roller would be an advantage.

Driving license is also essential.

Location of works is across Shropshire.

Majority of the work we carry out is in the agricultural sector, therefore experience in this would be an advantage, but not essential.

Here are some photos of some improvements to an existing driveway which we have recently carried out.

We excavated a lot of vegetation from the garden, which we then built a retaining sleeper wall around. The driveway itself was striped off, which we then laid and compacted stone onto in preparation for tarmac.

A recently constructed dirty water holding lagoon for one of our customers.

We did this by stripping the existing topsoil off the field, and then using the underlying clay subsoil to form the banks and floor of the lagoon, using a bulldozer.

We re-routed the existing underground pipework which was then diverted into the lagoon.

We were recently contacted by one of our existing and valued customers to carry out repairs to their existing driveway, by removing the old brick sets, and laying a new surface with new brick sets.

Its been a great year again for us all at Nigel Lewis Construction and Plant Hire!

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our customers, both existing and new for giving us the opportunity to carry out the projects for them.

Also a massive thank you to our members of staff for completing each project to such high standards.

We were recently contacted to design and construct a repair to an existing soil flood defence bund.

We did this by excavating through the bund to reach the original ground level below and then mass poured a concrete wall with a small shuttered up stand on the top of the wall above the bund.

The project also involved alterations to the existing entrance and while on site the client asked us to resurface the existing drive.
