A huge thank you to Immergas and Alpha Boilers for welcoming us to your state-of-the-art headquarters in Brescello, Italy 🇮🇹

A small group of loyal Alpha Boiler installers from the South East of England had the privilege of spending three fantastic days learning more about the design, innovation, and manufacturing processes behind the products we install every day.

We were incredibly well looked after throughout the visit, and it has given us a whole new perspective and appreciation for the quality and engineering that goes into every Alpha product.

Finally over the line with this fantastic 4-panel solar thermal installation! ☀️

Just returned from a fascinating factory visit to the Immergas headquarters in Brescello, Italy 🇮🇹

We arrived on a beautiful sunny day and were treated to a full behind-the-scenes tour of the facility. This is one of the many state-of-the-art training rooms throughout the building, showcasing the innovation and attention to detail that goes into everything they do.

Introducing our latest completed project in Lynsted 👏

This stunning Oast House now features a powerful Vaillant cascade system using two 12kW AroTHERM Plus heat pumps, efficiently heating over 400m² of living space.

To ensure maximum performance, the property’s insulation and windows were upgraded to reduce heat loss — allowing the heat pumps to operate at their very best.

The busy-looking plant room has been specially designed for multi-fuel flexibility, including a 350L multi-fuel buffer tank, giving the client the option to switch between electric heating and log fuel whenever needed. 🔥⚡

The system also includes:
☀️ 39 solar panels
🔋 3 Tesla Powerwalls
💡 Off-peak electricity integration to reduce running costs even further

One of the biggest advantages of cascading is the intelligent Vaillant controls, which balance wear across both heat pumps and allow the system to run efficiently on a single unit during part-load conditions — preventing unnecessary cycling and improving efficiency.

Enjoying the final days on-site in some proper spring sunshine ☀️

A long-term client finally came to the realisation that he wanted a smarter, renewable heating solution than just burning gas to make the most of their 3 Tesla Powerwalls and 30+ solar PV panels. The challenge? It’s a large, older property with high heat loss (25kW) . They didn’t want the upheaval of upgrade the radiators , since the existing still look new and work perfectly.

Installing two heat pumps to meet peak winter demand wasn’t an attractive option either visually or financially.

So, may we introduce….
The Alpha Custom Hybrid 🔧

By integrating a heat pump with the existing Worcester system boiler and hot water cylinder, we created a flexible, efficient solution:
• The heat pump handles heating most of the time, running efficiently at low flow temps up to 50°C
• Keeps the home at a comfortable 22°C down to 6°C outside
• When temperatures drop further, the system intelligently calls on the boiler to assist, boosting flow temps up to 65°C and shuts the heat pump off.

The result? Comfort, efficiency, and smart use of renewable energy — without compromising the existing system.

Hybrid setups like this are becoming increasingly popular, especially for properties that aren’t suited to a full heat pump solution. With the right integration of solar and battery storage, they offer a really compelling path forward.

Here’s a peek at our latest project in Merton, SW London 🔧

We installed a combination of Daikin multi-split air conditioning alongside a Grant R290 heat pump, delivering ultra efficient heating to underfloor heating, radiators, and hot water throughout the property.

This setup gives the client complete flexibility — the AC system provides both heating and cooling all year round, acting as a reliable backup to the air source heat pump.

The R290 heat pump delivers high-temperature hot water to the cylinder, with an impressive overall system efficiency of up to 410%.

All external units were carefully positioned to the side of the property, keeping them out of sight from the rear patio for a clean finish.

Final day fitting the Alpha Magis M heat pump with Hydro fan convectors in this games room in Ide Hill, Sevenoaks 🔧🔥

We actually picked up this client through Instagram, and over the past year we’ve been busy maintaining and correcting installation faults on the existing Panasonic heat pumps serving the main house and annex.

Now we finally had the chance to show what we can really do 💪

Our technical team also came down to visit, as the Hydro fan convectors are still very new to the UK market. Safe to say—we’re seriously impressed. The power output is excellent, making them the perfect solution for high heat loss buildings that need a faster response than conventional radiators ⚡️
