Our Uniformed Public Services courses offers an exciting and varied learning experience designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers ☺️

With no exams and a strong focus on practical activities and assignments, students will develop valuable skills through subjects such as crime investigations, conflict management and even a 6-week Muay Thai programme. Throughout the course, students will benefit from a range of guest speakers from organisations including the Army, Navy, Police and CSI, providing first-hand insight into the sector and the many progression routes available.

Students also take part in a variety of enrichment opportunities, including Army programmes, water-based activities in Wales, hiking in the Lake District and employment-focused visits with services such as the Police and Fire Service. These experiences help to build fitness, communication, teamwork and confidence, while also creating lasting friendships. The course opens the door to a wide range of public-facing careers, including roles in the Police, Fire Service, probation services and support work, while also providing excellent progression opportunities to university courses such as Law, Criminology, Policing and many others.

Our Digital students have done brilliantly in their exams this year, especially Jakub, a former pupil of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic High School Skelmersdale, who received a Distinction in his T Level course! 🤩

As part of his course, Jakub completed his industry placement at Burscough Priory Academy, where he gained valuable hands-on experience and developed a wide range of technical and professional skills. The placement gave him an insight into working in a real-world environment and helped him build the confidence and knowledge needed for his future career. Through hard work and dedication, Jakub has made the most of every opportunity offered by the T Level programme, combining classroom learning with practical industry experience.

We are delighted to share that Jakub's next step is studying BA (Hons) Sports Media and Communications at University Academy 92, where he will continue to develop his skills and pursue his career ambitions 😃

"I previously worked in sales and recruitment, I started a new role in education, student recruitment just before starting the course. I wanted to be able to give IAG in careers and understand the impact of impartial views to supports the needs of students. It supported me in my role and become more confident when supporting students in their decision making."

Meet Lauren, a previous learner with NCG Online Learning. 🌱

The course gave her the opportunity to build on the experience she already had while developing a greater understanding of impartial information, advice and guidance.
