Summer is coming to an end — but that doesn’t mean your building’s energy demands are going down.
In fact, the opposite can happen.
Shorter days mean more lighting. Falling temperatures bring heating back into regular use. Staff spend more time indoors, and the demands placed on HVAC systems begin to change.
Some of that additional consumption is unavoidable.
But how much of it is actually necessary?
Autumn is a great opportunity to look at your building’s controls, timers, lighting and energy usage before winter arrives.
The goal isn’t simply to use less energy. It’s to stop paying for energy that isn’t delivering value.
