AWS are delighted to confirm its continued partnership with National Grid who have announced an additional £2.3 million funding package to support vulnerable households struggling with energy costs, across England and Wales.
AWS has received a grant of £385,000 from National Grid in addition we are matching this to create a fund of £770,000 that will enable us to provide free home low-carbon heating solutions and energy efficiency measures to households that do not qualify for government programmes.
AWS will launch this programme in time for this winter and will work in collaboration with other Grid for Good Energy Affordability Fund partners to support some of the most vulnerable low-income homes across in the country. AWS will partner with industry experts Quidos Ltd to provide Haydale Graphene’s JustHeat system, an ultra-efficient, low-voltage, graphene-based heating panel that delivers clean and consistent warmth with minimal energy demand.

I’m also pleased to continue our programme of installing Air Source Heat pumps and also support the roll-out of Haydale's JustHeat system, an innovative low-energy demand solution that provides efficient and affordable warmth while easing pressure on the electricity grid."
