Not everything that gets brought to us needs replacing!

A lot of the work we do is about taking existing equipment and making it better.

That might mean modifying a worn component, re-engineering a part that’s no longer performing as it should, or adapting older machinery so it can keep up with current production demands.

It’s a practical approach, if something still has life in it, we look at how we can improve it rather than scrap it. That could mean better reliability, smoother operation, or simply getting a bit more out of what’s already there.

What started as a raw idea in mild steel has now become a fully finished seal housing for one of our regular customers.

From initial machining through to final finish, this part has been produced in-house with precision at every stage, ensuring it’s not just made, but made to perform exactly as required in service.

Ever had a print or paper line stop because of a worn roller, shaft or failed component?

The whole line is down, work starts backing up and the pressure builds to get things running again.

We support paper manufacturing, converting, slitting, winding, laminating and printing operations when equipment fails or starts to underperform.

That can mean repairing a worn or damaged component, producing a replacement when lead times are too long or making modifications to improve reliability and keep production moving.

Take this damaged polymer extruder filter plate for example. It had reached the end of its service life, so we reverse engineered the part and machined a precise replacement from EN24T, restoring full functionality and reliability to the customer’s process.

Emergency breakdown? We’re on it. ⚙️

When we received an 𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡, the message was clear: the customer’s machine had to keep running, but a critical component was failing.

With just 30 minutes on site, we measured the faulty c**k valve and returned to the workshop. Using our Hurco VM20i, we machined a replacement acetal (POM) valve body to hygienic tolerances.

The full assembly was turned around and back on site within 24 hours, ready for the next maintenance shutdown.

Hydraulic rams and cylinders 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 always need replacing. ⚙️

A full replacement can be costly and often it’s not necessary. We can strip your cylinder down, see what’s going wrong and figure out what can be salvaged or reused.

If a repair makes sense, we’ll get it back to full working order, saving you both time and money. And if you need a new cylinder, we can make one from a pattern or to your exact specifications.

Either way, your kit is back up and running without unnecessary downtime.
