Need a replacement part but don’t want to wait 4+ weeks for it?

That was the problem our customer had with a blade cassette from a tyre shredding machine. The original had seen better days, but the manufacturer was quoting 4+ weeks for a replacement.

So we made one!

We drew it up, ordered the material and got to work on our Hurco VM20i. The cassette was too long for the machine’s 1000mm bed, so we split it into two parts and machined them separately.

It meant a five-day turnaround and the two-piece design actually made it easier to install.

These billet machined 5754 aluminium table slats, fitted with 316 stainless steel inserts, were made for a rotary yoghurt packing line.

Food production is a fast-paced environment, so these parts needed to hold up to continuous operation, stay accurate and just keep performing.

A good example of the kind of specialist work our machining capabilities can handle.

A new batch of bearing housings to add to the book. 👍

Machined entirely in-house, these bearing housings will form an important part of machinery assemblies, helping support the bearings that keep moving parts operating effectively.

Big components need big capability - and that’s where our Harrison V550 lathe comes in. ⚙️

With an impressive 3 metres between centres, it gives us the capacity to take on larger machining projects while maintaining the highest accuracy and quality.
