ASL manufactures and provides consultancy on the use of highly sensitive borehole seismic receivers ‘geophones’ that are operated at extremely high temperatures and pressures within the Earth’s crust for the purpose of sub surface geophysical mapping around the globe. These borehole receiver systems have proved so successful that they are now the standard technology for VSP surveying, enhanced oil
recovery and hydraulic fracture monitoring, and for determining the viability of carbon storage underground. The ‘Microseismic’ and borehole seismic monitoring technologies are markets in which ASL’s products and expertise have become world leading. We have support bases in all the major oil producing areas, including Houston, Abu Dhabi and Singapore employing highly qualified and experienced electro mechanical designers, geoscientists and seismic engineers.
