We’re proud to have recently completed a major solar and energy storage upgrade for DES Locks, helping them get closer to becoming almost 100% self-sufficient for electricity. ☀️🔋

The upgraded system includes:
☀️ 76 JA Solar PV panels, combining 400W and 540W modules
⚡ 30kW inverter
🔋 24kWh of battery storage
🚗 4 EV chargers to support their electric vehicle fleet

The system has been designed to make the most of the solar energy generated on-site, storing excess energy in the batteries and helping reduce DES Locks’ reliance on the grid.

The expected environmental impact is just as impressive, with the system set to save over 8 tonnes of CO₂ every year - equivalent to approximately 1,422 trees planted over 25 years. 🌳

It’s been great working with a local business on a project that brings together solar generation, battery storage and EV charging into one complete energy solution.

Another beautifully integrated in-roof solar installation taking shape on Canvey Island ☀️🏠

This project involves two new homes being built for one family, with the homeowner choosing an in-roof solar system designed to complement the slate roof and create a clean, seamless finish.

We’ve installed 10 GSE in-roof panels on each property, with the final electrical connection and commissioning to follow once the build is ready.

At S-Tec, we regularly work alongside house builders and developers, coordinating our installations around their build programmes to ensure everything is completed at the right stage of the project.
