So I might be a 6”5, “motorcycling” “handsome” “tough as nails” builder…but I LOVE plants!!

They can be used to soften up hard edges of a garden or to bring some colour and texture to the front of a house like I’ve done here.

Steve and I built this house last year so it’s great to come back and add some extra charm

And yes I used my daughters unicorn pencil 🦄

🔝 (just some facts I have heard from other people😉🤣)

What a beautiful day! Joists went on yesterday- noggins and restraint straps this morning 👌

Happy weekend 👋

I've been busy lately - wrapped up a house toward the end of last year and kicked off another with Steve at the start of this one. With the weather being pretty relentless at the moment, I'm looking to slot in a few smaller, non-weather-dependent jobs to keep the calendar moving.

Jobs like this fence and shed removal I finished up this week - 6ft, 4x4 posts, c24 rails 👌

If you’ve got something similar, or even a bit more involved, drop me a message and I’ll take a look and give you a price.

Have a look through my page to see the work I have done in the past..

Note: If it’s dry I’ll be tied up building our customer’s house, so these jobs would need to fit around that, thanks for understanding 🙏

Cheers Lewis

Finished this wardrobe off this week, it’s given purpose to a decent sized alcove that had limited uses. Now the customer has a bespoke wardrobe, it’s now bright, well ventilated with plenty of shelves and a great amount of hanging space too.

Just finished renewing some panelling for a lovely couple in South Street today. The old panelling was well past its prime, so soft in fact the paint was the only thing keeping it together!

So off it came before renewing with a one piece of marine ply, trimmed out with the same profile beads and doweling. All dimensionally identical to the original from many moons ago, but done with a lot more power tools 🤣👌

Still reading? fair play 🤣…
Couple of notes to my thought process for this job, I used 12mm marine ply laminated to double its thickness, and given the depth to accommodate the mouldings. This has increased rigidity, whilst achieving the main goal which was to reduce the expansion and contraction as this elevation is very exposed to weather and the sun! (The cause of the issue)

Also the old timber used to stop at pavement level, however to increase longevity from rainfall splash back I stoped it short and extended the masonary plinth 👌

To be able to see the finished result is rare for me, however on this occasion I was able to return to see the final result 😍 I’m usually long gone due to my phobia of paint brushes 😁 (i do know a fantastic decorator however 👌)

For this job I took a few weeks away from my usual work with Steve, this customer was needing to regain a bedroom in their bungalow following other alterations to her property. After looking around the property we concluded we would utilise half the depth of the garage and a small portion of the living room to create the new bedroom. All the works were completed by myself and a trusted friend and excellent contractor, Henry of Henelec who stepped in for the electrical work.

A job like this covers all aspects of building, so if your in need of anything first or second fix - plastering to retaining walls and everything in between, feel from to get in touch and I would be happy to discuss it with you.
