At Expo 2025 Osaka, ECA2 SHOW DESIGN & PRODUCTION premiered Under the Midnight Rainbow - a nightly multimedia spectacular at the Water Plaza that captivated over two million visitors throughout the event.

Designed and produced by ECA2, the show blends poetic storytelling with light, lasers, flames, music, and water to create an immersive experience unlike anything else at the Expo.

At the heart of the performance stands a 20-metre-high Cascade Screen, surrounded by a matrix of more than 300 1D and 3D jets and a wide array of effects forming a dynamic water stage.

To bring this complex choreography to life, db Show Control & Automation designed, manufactured, installed, and programmed the show control system - the technical backbone that ensures every element runs in perfect synchrony.

I will be over in Barcelona at IAAPA Expo Europe next week, representing our company db Show Control & Automation Ltd.

I have spoken with a number of friends and colleagues already to arrange to meet up, but wanted to reach-out here to the wider community. If you are planning to be at IAAPA next week, it would be great to re-connect, or indeed connect in person for the first time. Lets talk about the hidden technology behind the show that we use to realise the creative vision - its what we do, its what we love.

Our company is approaching its 15th anniversary, which is quite special for us - We have hundreds of projects and systems around the word, from stand alone PLC control systems, though to complete theme park systems where we have delivered AV, PLC and Show Control systems to every ride and attraction within the park.

Many of you know us very well, and have put your trust in us to deliver over and over again during the last 15 years. It could be you know us for our Technical Design services, Show Control System Programming, or for the manufacture of custom Control Systems. For many of our biggest and longest running clients we are known for delivering all of the technology as a complete engineered solution - Turnkey Projects using technology to deliver the creative vision.

Many of you in the community might not have heard of us or worked with us yet, but there is a very strong chance you have experienced a Spectacular Show, Immersive Ride, Themed Attraction or Event that has one of our systems working away flawlessly behind the scenes somewhere around the world...
