Hey guys 👋 Happy New year 🥳

It’s been a long time since we posted some work on our page, we mainly post on our Instagram but I need to get back on here too for all those without insta.

Anyway this was a recent bedroom we did, dropped the ceiling for recessed spots and also to get the ceiling straight (it had more waves 🌊 than the North Sea!) Built a stud wall to straighten out the gable, this made it easier for the client to position her bed. 👌🏼

All ready for the bedroom to be fitted by FKB Northwest LTD

The end of last year I was asked by my kids school to knock up a little Santa sleigh to hold a few raffle prizes.

Well…. If you know me I couldn’t just “knock a little” one up. So I set myself the task of building a full size model. The school and PTA were so impressed they decided that they would get the ‘big man’ 🎅🏼 himself to sit in it for pictures, with the parents giving donations to the school! This has now helped raise funds for the school and hopefully it will carry on doing so for a few more years!

I’d like to kindly thank Huws Gray Birkdale for their generous donation in timber.

Little transformation on this lounge for a lovely client in Churchtown.

She wanted to make more of a feature of the place and have something more in keeping with her new decor.

Here are some start to finish pictures including new tile backer boards around the fire (last builder just used normal plasterboard 🤦🏼‍♂️)

We matched the coving & Skirtings in to make it look like it’s always been there. ✅

This mornings little job! ✅

Traditional pebble dash to this extension to match in with the rest of the house.

Sorry I’ve not been on here for a while, I’ve been busy with other projects and I’m not one for posting the same type of work over and over. I like to change it up once in a while.

Full knock off and re-render in HP12 with flexible mesh. This is a more modern version of sand/cement render. All the areas have been base coated and a mesh bedded in, all stress patches applied and a final top coat rubbed up smooth.

It’s a much better process and without having a couple of tonne bags on the driveway and cement mixers going all day.

Well that’s my first week back after recovery ticked off ✅

Some of you won’t be aware but 6 weeks ago I had a mini stroke/TIA whilst at home. It’s not been the easiest thing to deal with physically & mentally but I’m in a much better place than I was. I’m still left with fatigue which for anyone that knows me and what I’m normally like is the worse part. Each day I feel stronger but I won’t be working like I used to.

If I’ve realised anything since this happened, it’s that family is far more important than the need to work 7 days a week.

I’d like to thank you to all my clients for understanding that things are taking slightly longer than normal and for all the well wishes everyone has sent.

Still have a long road ahead of me but with the support of my amazing family I’m sure it will all work out. 💪🏼

🚨 BREAKING NEWS!!

New member of the team has joined us!

Noah Marsden, age 4

✔️ We’re now taking on small skimming jobs, can’t be any higher than 1m.

✔️ payment in Fruit shoots, crisps and chocolate.

This is what summer holidays are all about, I love this little lad! (Hope he doesn’t want to be a plasterer, il never be able to retire 😂😂)
