We’ve been focussed on commercial and major infrastructure this last 12 months. The domestic market is fraught with small-time builders who were underpricing our smaller projects and leaving clients in a mess. We’ll always make time to fit in a slice of cherry cake and complete some works for one of our special clients though. The vitrified porcelain tiles look fantastic ready for a timber building and whirlpool bath install.

We’ve concluded a programme delivering private domestic jobs varying from £20k to circa £500k this last year. It’s been an interesting exercise for us and we’ve reached an absolute conclusion. Domestic projects for independent/private owners are not the future for UKPS Ltd. Supporting major infrastructure, industrial and enterprise projects as well as domestic builds of our own will be our focus from here on.

The Caterpillar 301s we have on site have really earned their salt recently. We’ve shifted over 500t of gravel/topsoil, 200t of Type 1/MOT and as well as being in constant use they haven’t missed a beat. Absolutely superb machines! Thank you to all for the shares and the applications following our ad for bricklayers today. The response has been great and we have our first starter on Tuesday; we also have applicants to call tomorrow so for now we’ve hopefully covered what we need in the short-term. Due to an increasing order book we have a requirement for a brick layer and site support for projects around Stafford. Happy to discuss day-rate or a FTE packages for the right candidates.
