The Government's Energy Price Guarantee is changing in April and that will increase the average household's energy bills from £2,500 to £3000.
The £400 Energy Bill Support Scheme (the £66 a month Government contribution to our energy bills that most of us have been receiving) will also be coming to an end in April.
Many of us are already paying sky high energy bills. Faced with this prospect, what can we do?
No doubt many of us have cut down, at least as much as we can, on our energy use. And although generally there is not much point shopping around for different energy suppliers, because they are all charging the same prices for energy, there is one exception. Utility Warehouse.
Switching your energy and two of your broadband, mobile or insurance to Utility Warehouse will mean getting a 5% saving on energy bills, worth around £125 per year to the average household.
Not only that, bust new customers who are homeowners can also benefit from a £200 bill busting boost. This is a £200 bill credit added to the new customers second bill. This extra saving is only available when you sign-up through a Utility Warehouse partner and has limited budget, so it's available first come/first served until the money UW have set aside for the incentive runs out.
So although energy prices are set to increase in April by around £500, subject to how much you use, Utility Warehouse are making it possible for customers to save on average, around £325 this year.
