The local IET North West Midlands branch is promoting 2 upcoming events which are free to members & non-members. A light buffet and drinks are available from 6:00pm until 6.30pm.

Please ensure you have relevant PPE on before the tour i.e. safety shoes, high Vis vest and googles. If you do not have your own PPE or have part of it, please indicate what you require and size.
You will need to make sure you collect your ordered PPE at 4:45pm and you have your full PPE on by 5pm.

Synopsis:
1.5°C above pre-industrial levels can limit irreversible effects of climate change, it is the target for NZE 2050. Due to intermittence of renewable energy power plant, the electrical power transmission should utilise Super Grid which can connect the electrical networks globally. The HVDC can interconnect unsynchronized Electrical power networks.
Efficiency is a key pillar for reaching Net Zero 2050, the HVDC is the main pillar for transmission of electrical energy to meet the net-zero emissions 2050.
