Been working on building a custom control panel for my CO2 laser to replace the cheap panel that it came with. I've laser engraved the panel onto 2mm black anodised aluminium sheet and mounted some nice stainless steel illuminated push buttons. Got rid of the digital current controller that was a waste of time and replaced it with a new mA meter and precision multi turn potentiometer. On to wiring this week and hopefully it should be back up and running soon.

Daddy and daughter school project day. She's learning all about the vikings and chose to make a viking shield for her school project. So we started by jigsawing the handle off one of my chopping board blanks, then we designed the dome in the centre in Fusion 360 and 3d printed it. She then painted the board and we nailed brass upholstery studs on. Finally she picked some viking designs and we lasered them on with the fibre laser. She had a great time and loves helping out in the workshop.
