What can’t go in a skip? ❌

Most general waste is fine, but there are a few things that can’t be placed in a skip.

Did you know? Many types of DIY waste are legally classed as industrial waste, even when they come from jobs at home.

That means there are limits on how much can be taken to local Recycling Centres without charge.

In Hertfordshire, the ePass system is there to monitor those visits across sites, so the free allowance cannot be used multiple times in different locations. Once that allowance has been used, any extra DIY waste can be paid for at the site instead.

It is a useful reminder to think about waste before starting the job. If you are stripping out a bathroom, replacing a kitchen, taking down a fence or clearing a large garden project, the waste can build up quickly.

For larger jobs, hiring a skip can be a more straightforward way to keep everything moving.

PB DONOGHUE are looking for a Workshop/Fleet Administrator to join the team at in Watford 👋

This is a key role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our HGV workshop and fleet operation, working closely with the Workshop Manager, technicians and transport team.

The role will cover a mix of workshop and fleet admin, including booking MOTs and vehicle services, updating job cards, keeping fleet records up to date, helping coordinate breakdowns and supporting vehicle compliance.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident with admin and has previous experience in an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop environment.
