The sun’s out, the teams are flat out, and the pipeline’s looking strong 💪

We’re on the ground across multiple sites right now, and while the sunshine helps, most of it comes down to having a great team that knows what needs doing and just cracks on.

Insulated Prowalls were the right fit for this build, bringing thermal performance, durability, and a straightforward install together in one unit.

They’re going to be clad externally, which seems a shame considering how clean the finish came out. Still, it’s not about vanity, it’s about performance 💪

Concrete is already a decent insulator on its own, but by casting an insulation layer between two concrete faces, you get a wall system that does more than just meet thermal regs - it helps keep internal temperatures stable, reduces energy use (saving you money), and gives the structure proper resilience.

It also means no faffing about on site with layers, adhesives, or chasing air tightness after the fact. Just panels that land, lift, and work how they’re meant to.

We manage our own installs because it’s the only way to keep standards where they need to be. Right kit, right people and no surprises on site.

Once everything’s in, our finishing team picks up the detail - lifters filled, edges sorted, everything left clean and sharp. We don’t leave a job half done, and we don’t hand it over until we’re happy with it 🤝

It’s not something extra, it's just how we work. It helps that the team know what they’re doing and carry it off with alarming levels of confidence for 8am on a Monday morning 🫡

Not all walls need pouring. And not all foundations need overthinking.
Our modular retaining walls come with a longer toe than your standard precast cantilever setup. That extra bit of concrete does a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to stability.

If the ground bearing capacity stacks up, we can install straight onto a compacted type 1 base with a sand/cement binding. Quick install, no wet trades, no drama.

If the ground’s poor, we’ll design the reinforced concrete foundation to suit. We’re not precious—we just know when it needs more, and when it doesn’t.

It’s not about being clever for the sake of it. It’s about using the right solution for the ground it’s sat on.

Not every retaining wall needs to go deep 👀

When ground conditions don’t allow for a traditional base, bolt-down retaining walls step in. Fixed directly onto a concrete slab, they give you the same structural integrity without the need for extensive groundwork.

And because our units are 2m wide, you get fewer joints, a cleaner finish, and faster installation. Less time on site, more time getting on with the rest of the job.

Simple, solid, efficient. Just how it should be.

This week’s weather has been throwing everything at us – sub-zero mornings, snow-covered sites, and frozen fingers. And while the rest of the world debates whether it’s too cold to walk the dog, we’re out here defrosting cranes and getting on business as usual 💁🏼‍♂️

We partnered with Parkway Construction to tackle a heavy-duty project at Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead. This one called for 165m of retaining walls, handling a surcharge load of 50kN/m².

Heights ranged from 1.4m to 3.85m, with some walls tipping the scales at nearly 10 tons each. Safe to say, these walls weren’t your average lightweight modular units 🏋️

Install went smoothly (no surprise there) - straight onto site, up in no time, and job done. It’s simple really: plan it properly, keep it straightforward, and the rest takes care of itself.

Now the site’s ready for business, and another project’s ticked off the list ✅
