Total Reinstatement Services sets a new industry standard

Stirling-based alltrades building contractor, Total Reinstatement Services (TRS), is stepping into the next chapter of the company’s strategic development, this April. Established in 1998, the future of the business and its highly experienced workforce has been secured by transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). Through this model, every employee will benefit and will take a more active part in contributing to decisions within the business, allowing a sense of ownership and pride to push the business further forward.

Making the announcement on Thursday, founder and Managing Director Brian Gillies said: “This is a positive and exciting new step for the company and one which provides security for our workforce. It was always my desire to see the company flourish beyond my stewardship and, having explored various options, the EOT offered the greatest opportunity for this. Many of our workforce have been with us for 20+ years and have been integral to our success, so it’s a brilliant opportunity to reward and thank them for their contributions, so far.”

The newly-appointed Board of Directors will lead the business forward, with assistance from Brian and Karen, who will both remain working within the company. The Managing Director role will be filled by Sandy Stewart, who will be joined by Robert Swain, Cameron Shearer and Paul N Carson, each taking the titles of Associate Director, and Paul Carson, as Contracts Director.

Sandy Stewart shared: “Since joining TRS in 2019, I’ve enjoyed contributing to the strong reputation Brian and the team have built, especially in the areas of reinstatement, renovation and repair. Along with the rest of the newly-appointed Board, I look forward to continuing to deliver on the strong order book we already have in place - both on-site and those yet to start. We also have many current tendering opportunities, across new and long-standing clients, indicating an increasing client base and an exciting time ahead within this new company structure.”

Ted Tours - Ireland

As an avid fan of Game of Thrones, Ted was excited to visit the site of the Dark Hedges. Unfortunately to celebrate he then went 'on the lash' in Sligo, got left behind and so missed the rest of the trip. He is currently being repatriated by Parcel Force! 🥴

Another Job completed, another satisfied client and another job well done by our Project Management and Trade Teams.

It would be remiss of me not to thank you, and all your team, for doing such a good job at East Lodge, as you can imagine it was more than a shock when the fire occurred and then the thought of dealing with an Insurance company and an unknown contractor was rather daunting, I needed have worried !

The TRS team have done a wonderful job of reinstating the house and in a very timely fashion, the quality of workmanship from the joiners, plumbers, electricians, stonemasons, roofers & lastly the painters has been exceptional, I would have no hesitation in recommending TRS as a contractor.

We are all very quick to criticise and perhaps sometimes slow to give praise when it’s due, please accept my sincere thanks for a job very well done.

After a busy summer Ted has been on his travels again. This time for a more relaxing break on a Disney Island Cruise! This took him around the Bahamas, where various stops were had. Ted even managed to make a new friend. 🧸🛳

❤️New Defibrillator❤️ purchased for the Local bowling club (Riverside Bowling Club) and wider community.

At Total Reinstatement Services Ltd we believe in giving back to the community and as such we have invested in a defibrillator.

A defibrillator is a vital component in the chain of survival. It can analyse the hearts rhythm and, if necessary, delivery an electric shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish effective rhythm. By using a defibrillator before an ambulance arrives, you can significantly increase someone's chance of survival.
