Meet John 👋

John has been a valued member of the FRIS team since June 2024, joining us as an HGV Driver.

In his role, he is responsible for collecting and delivering our glass products across the UK, whilst also assisting with glass skip work. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help make him a real asset to the company. No matter the task, John always carries out his duties with a smile on his face!

One of the things John appreciates most about working at FRIS is the opportunity he was given when starting his driving career. As a newly qualified HGV driver, he found it difficult to secure a role, with many companies reluctant to take on drivers without experience. Nigel recognised John’s potential and gave him that opportunity.

Meet James - also know as Jambo by the team! 👋

Jambo has been part of the FRIS team since October 2024.

He started out as a Yard Operative on site and has quickly progressed into a full-time Skip Truck driver, collecting glass and materials from our clients across the window industry.

His versatility doesn’t stop there! He also holds a Class 1 licence and steps in to drive our bulk tipper vehicles whenever needed. Jambo’s willingness to step up and grow within the business makes him a real asset to FRIS 👏

Our new glass recycling bays are now in place on the FRIS site! 🌟

The new bays are designed to control different types of material and to conform to new regulations advised by the Environment Agency. Not to forget they also help with the moisture levels in the material, as this can affect the next process before remelt!

The team are pleased with the result and are a pivotal part of our new site.

Meet Bradley, a key part of the FRIS team since August 2024 👏

As our Site Supervisor, Bradley plays a crucial role in keeping everything running smoothly day-to-day. From coordinating operatives on site to managing yard operations, including incoming deliveries and outgoing material, he ensures efficiency at every step. He’s also hands-on when needed, operating plant machinery to support the team.

Bradley brings reliability, organisation, and a strong work ethic to the yard every day!

When asked what he enjoys most about working at FRIS, he says: "The opportunity to do a whole host of different tasks/duties each day with the opportunity to progress as his understanding and knowledge of the business develops." 🌟
