Today marks 6 years since I created Hayes Domestic & Commercial Gas Limited. 🔥
When I started this business, all I had was determination, a strong work ethic, and a vision to build something I could truly be proud of. I never imagined just how much this journey would shape me—not only as a business owner, but as a person.
The last six years have brought incredible highs and some incredibly difficult lows. There have been sacrifices that nobody sees; 14-hour days, late nights doing paperwork after spending all day on the tools, missed family time, financial pressure, self-doubt, and moments where walking away would have been the easier option.
Running a business isn’t just about turning up to work. It’s carrying the responsibility for every customer, every job, every invoice, every decision, every member of the team, and the reputation you’ve spent years building. You celebrate the wins quietly and carry the setbacks yourself.
This past year has been one of the biggest turning points of my life. I’ve had to make some very difficult decisions—both personally and professionally. Decisions that weren’t easy, but were necessary for the future of the business and for my own growth.
I’ve spent the last year investing in myself, learning, improving, becoming stronger, and realising that success isn’t measured only by turnover or profit. It’s measured by the person you become through the process.
Today, Hayes Domestic & Commercial Gas Limited has grown into a trusted company providing domestic and commercial gas, plumbing, heating and air conditioning services across the region. We’ve completed hundreds of jobs, built lasting relationships with our customers, and earned a reputation that means everything to me.

I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved, but I’m even more excited about what’s still to come.
