So unfortunately after 40 plus years of trading it is with great sadness that we can confirm that Ray Podmore Contract Services Ltd has closed its doors as we’ve entered liquidation.
First of all to our customers past and present, Thank you! You’ve kept us going all these years, we’ve built more than just offering a service with many of you, you’ve become friends, we’ve always done our best for you and your continued custom has been fantastic, new customers are great but old customers are even better, it proves all the years we’ve been working that we were doing something right.
Our fantastic staff- from the lads on the tools to our office staff, you’ve been amazing over the years. All of the employees have been long servers which shows we must have been doing something right to keep our staff. The past employees you also contributed to keeping this company going so thank you everyone! As a family business our employees became part of our family, we did our best to look after you all, if there was a way we could have continued and kept you all going we would have.
Our suppliers- again many of you have worked along side us for many years, this is something that we’ve not wanted to happen to our family business, to those of you we owe, we’re terribly sorry this isn’t something we planned or take lightly, words don’t quite come close to how gutted we are, again many of you have been so supportive and understanding. You’ve also become friends, people that we’ve been able to rely on when needed. The liquidators are dealing with everything for us with being a limited company, please understand angry phone calls will be forwarded on to them, there is nothing more we can do
Unfortunately with how times have changed the work has been very slow due to the economy, we’ve been waiting for many big jobs to come in that just haven’t come off in time for us, that tied in with the ever increasing bills, tax, VAT, business rates, wage increases and material increases it’s left us no choice but to close. We are gutted. Ray and the team would like to thank you and hope many of you do keep in touch with us.
