At the start of this year we initiated a huge investment in our infrastructure here, which involved increasing our electrical supply into the building to enable future expansion, and also replacing our extraction with a brand new state of the art system.

This investment will significantly reduce our carbon footprint, make the working environment better for our employees and ensure the sustainability of the business going forward.

We'd like to thank our electrical contractor Owen Electrical & Security Ltd for all of their input, and also the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) for supporting us with a grant towards the ambitious project.

It's a Happy 40th Birthday to us! đŸ„ł

A birthday like this is a moment to reflect on how far we have come, but also to look ahead to how much further we can go!

We'd like to thank every customer who has placed an order with us along the way, every member of our supply chain who has delivered what we need when we need it, and of course all of our dedicated staff, without whom none of this would happen.

As we approach our 40th birthday, we've been looking back through some of the newspaper articles we've had published over the years. The first one here is from 1993 and features our founders, Anne and Andrew Leake, who had the idea to start the company when they looked at the play equipment their young daughters were using at the time and thought "We could do better".

Over the years there have been many changes for our business, not least changing from Little Dreams to LiDR Contract Furniture, but there is a common theme in these stories. Always pushing for improvement, aspiring for growth and building something special here that will stand the test of time.
